  • Finalists will be asked to provide an overview of their people philosophy, workplace culture, employee testimonials and other relevant reasons explaining they should win this award

Award that recognizes an employer’s commitment to building a workplace that recognizes excellence and supports career growth for all.

  • Provides an environment for professional development, with challenging and meaningful opportunities, and flexible work options to help people develop their full potential

Award of excellence that recognizes an individual within the insurance industry for their achievements and outstanding contribution to the industry as a whole. 

We accept nominations in this category, with the editorial team at Insurance Business Magazine making final selections based on editorial research and industry feedback.

Award of excellence for a retail agency who derives more than 50% of its revenue from commercial and who offers superb service to clients, while maintaining in-depth knowledge of all product offerings.

  • Demonstrates growth through business development, client retention, growth of clients and minimized loss, while staying abreast of market changes and challenges that impact the insured

Criteria:

  • Judges will review achievements including: 
    • Professional accomplishments in the last five years (business initiatives in which the nominee played a critical role, new business brought to the company, innovative ideas, etc.)
    • Leadership of professional associations
    • Other accomplishments (charitable work, accomplishments outside the industry, etc.)

Open to an individual who is 35 or younger as of September 1, 2017

 

Criteria:

  • Judges will review achievements including: 
    • Sales volume in 2016 (for producers)
    • Professional accomplishments (business initiatives in which the nominee played a critical role, new business brought to the company, innovative ideas, etc.
    • Distinctive new business development strategies, including unique ways of utilizing technology
    • Exceptional relationship management
  • If applicable, finalists will be asked to provide supporting evidence of the above

Criteria:

  • Demonstrated vision and leadership over several years, where the nominee’s insight, discernment and ability to lead and inspire has guided his or her organization to a new level of growth, achievement or recognition.
  • Corporate performance –positive financial results reflective of leadership
  • Social responsibility – use of leadership and skills to help the community overcome social issues
  • Innovative business achievements and use of technology

Description

This award acknowledges the contributions of a company with a proven track record of providing superior technology, user experience, service and assistance to insurance professionals and companies. 

 

Criteria:

  • Open to any company or individual that provides a digital service or solution to insurance professionals
  • Judges will consider value added to clients, overall client experience, depth of content, innovation, repeat and referral business strategy, and last but definitely not the least, demonstration of a sustained effort and commitment to the Insurance industry.
  • Displays a clear statement of how any initiative is aligned with the company or organizations’ strategic and business goals towards the betterment of community, social or environmental issues
  • Examples could include using resources and energy as efficiently as possible, promoting social inclusion, sustainable communities and/or well-being
  • Shows evidence of the delivery of policies in action
  • Judges will review achievements including:
    • Industry awards and recognition
    • Community involvement
    • Book of Business (net commissions) in 2016
    • # of clients in 2016
